A
recent fortuitous musical encounter led me to rediscover the “Latino
Rock” wave of the late 60s and early 70s, much to my delight. By
“Latino Rock” one means a mixture of traditional Afro-Cuban
instruments and motives and instruments generally used in Rock, but especially
Blues and even Gospel (organ, electric guitar, electric bass). It gave
me a strong desire to explore this particular style and to try, modestly,
to do my bit. So here's “Latino Blue”, a collection of my own
compositions and a few covers of traditional Caribbean tunes that I leave
to you to discover.
